My Affiliate Marketing Journey

Career for Teens

I desperately wish there would have been a career for teens online when I was growing up. I would have been happy with summer jobs teenagers could do online! I always wanted to be my own boss.

My Affiliate Marketing Journey

My affiliate marketing journey began mentally, when I was 25 ( the year was 1990). I became a legal secretary in 1988 after having flunked out of Stony Brook University.  My mother told me I didn’t have a choice and that I was going to be a legal secretary so that I could make a decent living. What else was I going to do?  Hell, she was the one keeping a roof over my head. Didn’t have much choice there!

I Hate Working For Other People

I always hated Corporate America.  I hated bosses, I hated office politics, I never got along with others and I always got fired from my jobs after 2 months.  Office politics and kissing ass was not my thing.  There had to be a better way.

I Couldn’t Hold a Job

The longest I ever stayed on my job in my 20’s was 1 year.  In my 30s, I managed to stay for almost 2 years.  Then I hit the jackpot and was able to stay at one job for 5 years and 3 months – until I got fired!

I Wanted to Be My Own Boss!

I always wanted my own online business but I just had no clue how to go about it. My first idea was to create a dating service.  I knew nothing about the internet.  I thought I’d build a brick and mortar dating service.

Fast forward, 2007… I had finally had enough.  I had been a legal secretary since I was 22 and hated every minute of it.
